The Heritage Museum was established to conserve and display the memorabilia of the former RAF station and its satellite airfields. The Heritage Room was first opened in 2005 and is open to the public on a regular basis.
The Heritage Museum was established to conserve and display the memorabilia of the former RAF station and its satellite airfields. It features stories from its beginnings in 1918 during the First World War, through the inter-war years of the 1920s and 30s, into the Second World War serving as an RAF Coastal Command station, then finally post-war years serving as an administration training school for the RAF until finally closing in 1962.
The Heritage Room was first opened in 2005 and is open to the public on select dates throughout the year (See Facebook page for yearly open schedule). Free entry and parking at the Heritage Centre, an accessible toilet is available.
