The Borough Council of King’s Lynn & West Norfolk Tourism department is the tourist authority for the west Norfolk area.
We are a small local team of two officers marketing and promoting west Norfolk, we produce a series of printed tourism leaflets for the area, maintain this www.visitwestnorfolk.com tourism website, and supply visitor services such as the Tourist Information Centre in King’s Lynn with leaflets and other tourism-related publications.
We also produce the mini guides/leaflets for the towns of King’s Lynn, Downham Market and Hunstanton.
We provide resources and advice to west Norfolk Tourism businesses, pass down tourism industry news, liaise with local tourism groups such as The West Norfolk Tourism Forum and Discover West Norfolk, produce the West Norfolk Tourism Development Plan and promote west Norfolk at regional exhibitions and trade events.
The forum is a partnership of public sector organisations and private sector businesses. An elected executive meets four times a year; all members are invited to the annual AGM. Membership is free and the database is maintained by the Borough Council Tourism department. Chairman Tess Gilder, Vice Chair Paul Searle, Administration Phil Eke and the Tourism Support Officer. If you are a west Norfolk-based tourism business or organisation, you can receive West Norfolk Tourism Forum AGM event details and invites by emailing the Tourism department on:
