Cape Vanilla

Cape Vanilla was founded by Richard and Julia Clarke who have been visiting South Africa for the last 23 years.

Inspired by the creativity of the crafts they encountered on their travels across the Western Cape, they decided to bring back and retail some of their favourites – a handful of unique lines which each tell a story. Having started in 2018 with Original T-Bag Designs, Cape Vanilla now hosts some 15 lines of gifts and homewares. Each provides local employment around Cape Town and many use recycled materials. New lines include oak serving platters made from reclaimed wine barrels, hand painted serving dishes and a new range of summery table linen. These compliment other recent additions including cotton rope baskets, wooden wall art, crocheted succulents and ceramic pomegranates!
