Plant Lovers' Day at Creake Abbey

Creake Abbey,Fakenham

Plant Lovers’ Day, now in its 19th year, welcomes specialist garden nurseries from across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex as well as leading nurseries from further afield, to showcase their best quality plants. Excellent-value herbaceous perennials, annuals, bulbs, shrubs, climbers and a wide selection of popular plants such as roses, will be on offer. Visitors are invited to buy direct from the nurseries or pre-order specific plants with collection on the day. As always, the public is encouraged to take full advantage of the advice and inspiration on offer from the region’s leading plantsmen. Dogs are welcome on leads throughout the site, the event area and in the café and shops.

Visitors may also browse the wares and services of Creake Abbey’s resident independent shops and services. The gate opens at 10am and closes at 4pm. Entrance to the plant fair is £5.00 per adult and there is no charge for under 16s. The rest of the site is free to visitors. Dogs are welcome on leads throughout the site, the event area and in the café and shops.

This event has always worked closely with a charity partner which receives all profits from the day. We are delighted to confirm that we will be working with Priscilla Bacon Hospice once again.

Profits this year will help Priscilla Bacon Hospice Charity to establish its latest project to support patients and their loved ones at Priscilla Bacon Lodge.

The Charity has recently broken ground on the construction of a new temperature-controlled workshop space within the Priscilla Bacon Lodge gardens. Designed to be a welcoming and creative environment, The Garden Workshop will be open to patients and members of the wider community.
