At the heart of this stunning deer park on the north Norfolk coast, stands Holkham Hall, an elegant 18th century Palladian style house, based on designs by William Kent and built by Thomas Coke, 1st Earl of Leicester. Discover the incredible art, architecture, furniture, statuary and history on a pre-bookable guided tour.
A visit to the fascinating Holkham Stories Experience, where we celebrate the many stories of Holkham’s 400-year heritage, is a must. Enjoy the lakeside walk to the Walled Garden to see the vineyard, kitchen and cutting gardens and catch up on how the renaissance project is progressing.
Adventures abound with cycle hire around the myriad of trails in the park, boat hire on the lake and climbing up into the treetops on our ropes course.
Our café serves delicious home-made snacks and light lunches and the eclectic mix of treats and presents in the gift shop, many by local makers, is a shopper’s delight. With amazing events throughout the year you will be thoroughly entertained.

The impressive 6 acre, 18th Century walled garden is currently undergoing a renaissance project; see how the garden grows, develops and takes shape throughout the year. While you are here, enjoy our vineyard and kitchen and cutting gardens.
The Lookout
The Lookout on Lady Anne's Drive provides visitors to Holkham National Nature Reserve and beach with lavatories, a modest refreshment facility and interpretation on the habitats and wildlife on the reserve.
Holkham Ropes Course
A trail of discovery through the treetops, looking down over the woodland and seeing Holkham from a completely new perspective, whilst tackling wobbly crossings, swinging bridges and zip wires!
Holkham Cycle Hire
What better way to explore the sweeping avenues, winding woodland paths and waymarked trails in Holkham park than on a leisurely bike ride. We have bikes to hire for the whole family, from 2 hours to full days.
Holkham Boat Hire
What better way to while away a summer’s afternoon than in a rowing boat on Holkham’s mile-long lake. This stretch of water is a haven for wildlife and a great way to see the Hall and park from a new perspective.
