The beach itself is a world away from the pebbles of Hunstanton main beach. Instead it is an expanse of fine golden sand, backed by dunes and the renown striped cliffs. With the sand gently sloping into the sea this beach is generally safe making it ideal for families.

Obviously somewhere that sounds this great is going to be popular and Old Hunstanton beach is. Fortunately there is always plenty of sand here, so even during the height of summer you’ll be able to find yourself somewhere to spread out.

Like Hunstanton, Old Hunstanton is part of the only stretch of Norfolk’s coast to face west – well worthy of note considering Norfolk is on the East coast of England. This means not only is the beach here sheltered but that it’s a great spot to take in a sunset.
