October half-term is just around the corner! Prepare yourself for a family fun adventure and let us inspire your trip with the many fantastic events and activities taking place in west Norfolk. Snettisham Park

Snettisham Park is a 329 acre working farm, fun for the whole family! Go on unique deer safari tractor and trailer rides, meet friendly farm animals, have a bite to eat in the tearoom and treat yourself to a souvenir in the small gift shop.

Pensthorpe

Explore magical gardens, adventurous play, and a spacious nature reserve at Pensthorpe this October. Don’t miss their Creatures Of The Night event, taking place between 21st – 29th October 2023.

WWT Welney Wetland Centre

WWT Welney Wetland Centre is a wetland nature reserve of 1,000 acres, attracting a large number of ducks and swans during the winter months. This October half-term, they are hosting their eek! week – a fantastic and fun learning experience with an interactive trail and family activities.

Church Farm

Make friends with a wide variety of rare breed animals at Church Farm in Stow Baldolph this Autumn. Meet horses, sheep, goats, pigs, donkeys, rabbits and more! Explore the petting areas and learn more about each breed during an Animals Encounters session.

Lynn Museum

Farmer Freds Adventure Play Barn

Stimulating 3D play experience transports kids to a world of adventure and fun. Giant slides, ball mazes, 2-4s low ropes adventure course and dedicated 0-2s area.

Nature Corridor Protectors

Nature Corridor Protectors is a new, interactive, outdoor game for children aged 7-13 and their grownups, made in partnership with Norfolk Wildlife Trust. Embark on this free phone adventure, exploring urban green spaces and local wildlife.

Hansel and Gretel Puppet Show | Hunstanton

23th – Friday 27th October 2023. Hansel and Gretel puppet show in the Town Hall in collaboration with Hunstanton Town Council. Details TBC.

Spooky Escape Room | Stories of Lynn Museum

23rd October 2023. Can you escape from this spooky cell by picking out the potions, collecting up the clues and sorting out the spells before the witch wakes up?

Adventure Cinema: Ghostbusters | Holkham

24th October 2023. Get into the Halloween spirit this spooky season by joining us for a fantastic night of outdoor cinema. First up is the cult, 1980s supernatural comedy Ghostbusters, where three parapsychologists set up a unique ghost removal service in Now York City.

The World War 2 Experience (Cancelled)

25th October 2023. Hands-on History Fun For 7 – 12 year olds to discover what it was like to be an evacuee, hear an air raid siren, make do and mend and make their own toys.

Adventure Cinema: Hocus Pocus | Holkham

25th October 2023. Possibly one of the best witch movies of all time, Hocus Pocus sees a villainous trio of diabolical witches are inadvertently awakened by a teenage boy on Halloween night.

The Golden Pearl Pirates | Princess Theatre

26th October 2023. Climb aboard the Golden Pearl and shiver your timbers this October half term for a fun filled family adventure on the seven seas, with a show brimming with a bountiful supply of great songs, dazzling dance routines and Cracking Comedy.

Make Your Own Pumpkin House | Sandringham

26th, 27th and 28th October 2023. Join us on Thursday 26, Friday 27 or Saturday 28 October to craft your own Pumpkin House to take home. Inspired by the book ‘Pumpkin Soup’ by Helen Cooper – a funny, rhythmical story about friendship and sharing, with fabulous animal characters.

Halloween Phantomime | St. George’s Guildhall

27th and 28th October 2023. What a star you are! However, if not, we hope you can come and join our amazing audience panto pals who come every year to see Dame Kitty Litter and the gang, as we are back for a third year with our very popular Halloween Phantomime.

Coffee Morning: Roman Mosaic Tiles | Lynn Museum

27th October 2023. Every last Friday of the month, join us for a relaxing hot drink, cake and activity, ranging from crafts to viewing collections. In October we will be taking inspiration from the museum’s collection of Roman mosaics.

The Real Halloween 2023 | Bradmoor Woods

28th and 29th October 2023. An outdoor, family-focused Halloween celebration with magical workshops & activities, storytelling at dusk & a lantern parade as night falls. Set in a beautiful woodland glade in the depths of Norfolk, this is Halloween as it should be.

Bawsey Halloween Night

29th October 2023. Take the Bawsey Witch’s Challenge, make your way through the woods, find all the pumpkins and claim a Halloween treat for the kids. But watch out for the ghosts and ghouls.
